5 AIMS Press journals are indexed by DOAJ
We are pleased to announce that 5 AIMS Press journals are now indexed by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) (http://doaj.org/), which is an online directory that indexes and provides access to quality open access, peer-reviewed journals.
The five journals are AIMS Energy, AIMS Environmental Science, AIMS Public Health, AIMS Materials Science and AIMS Molecular Science. All of these journals were launched in 2013 and 2014.
Professor Shouchuan Hu, the director of AIMS Press, said: With the credentials and reputation of publishing high quality, math-related books and journals since 1995, we would like to launch high quality Open Access journals in other scientific areas. We hope our journals can be indexed by most popular databases including DOAJ, WoS, Scopus, PubMed Center, etc., to make our content distributed widely in the scientific community.
AIMS Press is expanding to become a major STEM publisher.
With the credentials and reputation of publishing high quality math-related books and journals since 1995, AIMS Press is expanding to all the scientific, technical and medical fields to become a major STEM publisher.
As Prof. Shouchuan Hu, director of AIMS, puts it: Our mission is to provide scientific and professional communities with valuable information. We are confident in setting a new high standard for scientific journals.
AIMS Press has been publishing all the journals issued by the American Institute of Mathematical Sciences since 1995. All of these journals are of institutionally high quality and international reputation, with most indexed in SCI-E and three of the flagship journals in SCI. Some of the journals are via collaborations with prestigious universities, such as Arizona State University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Zhejiang University. AIMS Press launched a new journal in Neuroscience field.
AIMS Press launched a new Open Access journal in the field of neuroscience. The journal aspires to provide a forum to move theoretical neuroscience forward in a more effective manner. The aim and scope of the journal is at http://aimspress.ijournals.cn/aimsn/ch/reader/view_news.aspx?id=20140426033129001. Dr. Robert A. Moss was appointed the founding Editor in Chief.
Dr. Moss said: I am honored to accept the invitation to head the new AIMS Neuroscience journal. Our goal is a lofty one in that we wish to provide a forum in which to expedite the speed with which theoretical neuroscience progresses toward generating testable hypotheses.
AIMS Press launched new journal AIMS Molecular Science
AIMS Press launched new journal AIMS Molecular Science, and invited Dr. Owen M. McDougal as the Editor in Chief.
Owen M. McDougal received his undergraduate education in upstate New York before heading west in 1992 to pursue his graduate work in the laboratory of National Academy of Sciences member, C. Dale Poulter at the University of Utah. Dr. McDougal has served two years as the president of the Faculty Senate at Boise State University and has held positions as the Chair of the Snake River Local Section of the American Chemical Society and President of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Dr. McDougal said: I am honored to accept the position as Editor in Chief for AIMS Molecular Science, and strives to establish a world class journal in the tradition of AIMS Press publications. The Editorial Board for AIMS Molecular Science has the expertise and international credentials to ensure the success of this journal.
